Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) owned businesses are the mature trees that provide generational wealth for people of color to thrive in a society that pays us 75 cents on the dollar.

First Seed Sown Sales and Marketing is a BIPOC owned agency dedicated to supporting: fellow BIPOC owned businesses, any brand looking to start or audit their marketing for DEI, and municipalities with Environmental Justice Communities who want to make the outdoors more equitable for everyone in their city.

Mike Mojica, Founder and CEO of Outdoor Element

“Darren is the ultimate playmaker. He came to Outdoor Element with vibrant and contagious energy, a wealth of marketing and sales expertise, and an extensive network within the outdoor community. Working with him has been an absolute pleasure; he's been instrumental in crafting our sales strategy playbook, connecting us with key influencers and media outlets, and making crucial introductions to sales rep groups. In addition, Darren isn't afraid to roll up his sleeves and dive into any task to help us execute our plans effectively. To put it in chess terms, having Darren on board is like adding a rook or a queen to your lineup.”

we share one linked fate

Maybe you’ve felt this before: something negative or positive happens to another group of people and you feel that same emotion. You are not alone. According to studies from Pew Research Center and Harvard University, people of color more than any other group of adults, feel that when something happens to one racial or ethnic group, they feel it too.

The founding of First Seed Sown Sales & Marketing was based upon 100% of the agency’s efforts being put toward supporting BIPOC and Environmental Justice communities.
